Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic is a health care profession that focuses on disorders of the musculoskeletal and nervous systems, and the effects of these disorders on general health. Doctors of chiropractic—often referred to as DCs, chiropractors or chiropractic physicians—practice a drug-free, hands-on approach to health care that includes patient examination, diagnosis and treatment. In addition to their expertise in spinal manipulation/adjustment, doctors of chiropractic have broad diagnostic skills and are also trained to recommend therapeutic and rehabilitative exercises, as well as to provide nutritional, dietary and lifestyle counseling. A chiropractic adjustment is a very safe, specific, controlled force applied to a joint to restore proper function and mobility. Accidents, falls, stress or overexertion can negatively impact your spine or other joints. These changes impact tissues, the nervous system and other areas of the body. Left unresolved, this can make you more susceptible to chronic problems. Chiropractic adjustments reduce pain, increase movement and improve performance.

Doctors of Chiropractic receive extensive education on human anatomy, physiology, and pathology. The concentration of such education encompasses mainly the holistic management of the entire human body as well as our role within the current healthcare system. Many medical experts are now coming to understand the true effectiveness of chiropractic care and brain-based therapies, and are recommending major changes in the rehabilitative manner our healthcare system manages different conditions. The chiropractic manipulation has a tremendous impact on the function of the nervous system.  When chiropractors treat the spine there are positive effects on the integration of neural signals to and from the brain and body. For this reason, our doctors have sought extensive education in clinical neuroscience and the application of brain-based treatments. They apply this education daily in practice.

We provide chiropractic care to adults, children, expectant mothers, elderely and athletes. We utilize a variety of adjusting techniques including manual manipulations, drop table, flexion distraction, Arthrostim and activator care depending on an individual’s needs.
